What is a Wellness Wheel Emotional
The wellness wheel illustrates a wellness model with eight dimensions: physical, social, emotional, occupational, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and financial. The dimensions are interconnected and important to a well-rounded and balanced lifestyle.
Over the course of the next 8 articles, I’m going to explain what it is and how it can help you in your life.
The Third One I’m going to talk about is.
Emotional
Emotional wellness is being attentive to your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, whether positive or negative. You strive to manage your emotions and stress effectively. This dimension of wellness encompasses dealing with situations realistically, coping with change and loss, and responding to life events resiliently.
Have a strong sense of self that supports your ability to recognize, share and be kind to yourself as you experience a wide range of emotions.
It’s alright to be emotional and that’s an excellent quality to have. Being able to keep your emotions in check when needed is always an excellent quality.
Emotion comes with compassion. Having compassion is an amazing characteristic to have. Knowing when to use compassion and not coming across as being judgemental.
