What does Namaste Really Mean? Why do People Say It at the end of a Yoga Class?

I end my Yoga classes with Namaste. The one reason I do it is that it signals the end of the class. Once I’m done with the class I sit Cross Legged and my hands are in a prayer position at chest level or at the forehead ‘third eye’, I lean into a bow and say ‘NAMASTE’ the class then does the same.
